Job Title

Project Manager – SPICE Model Library (SML)

Role Summary

The Project Manager will lead development, validation, and release projects for SPICE model libraries, coordinating internal modeling teams, silicon reliability, design enablement, and foundry partners. The role drives execution from concept through validation and production release, focusing on scope, schedule, cost, and technical deliverables.

Work locations include Nijmegen and Eindhoven; the role requires frequent cross-functional alignment across engineering and external partners.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires around 5+ years of project management experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of SPICE model library work packages and releases.

  • Lead multiple work packages across model development, validation, and library release.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project execution to meet release, qualification, and milestone targets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams: modeling, silicon reliability, design enablement, process technology, and external foundries.
  • Drive execution of project plans, facilitate decisions, and resolve technical and organizational issues.
  • Ensure model development and validation results align with design requirements and release readiness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to model accuracy, coverage, reliability, and schedule.
  • Provide clear, structured reporting on progress, risks, and deviations.
  • Align stakeholders across functions and sites to ensure adoption of model libraries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, and software workflows.

Requirements

Core skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items noted.

  • Must-have: Strong technical understanding of semiconductor modeling and/or process technology; ability to follow device modeling and simulation discussions and translate them into execution plans.
  • Must-have: Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to explain technical issues to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Must-have: Structured, pragmatic mindset with proven ability to manage evolving requirements and deliver results.
  • Must-have: Proactive, results-driven approach with risk identification and mitigation experience.
  • Must-have: Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional alignment skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in device modeling, SPICE model development, simulation, or design enablement environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with model validation, reliability modeling, or PDK/model library development.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with software development lifecycles or release-driven environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional technical projects and leadership experience.

Education Requirements

Preferred: MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
