Role Summary
Lead a team of project engineering managers delivering Mixed-Signal IP and semiconductor development projects. Own portfolio execution, remove blockers, escalate risks appropriately, and align delivery with customer commitments and business priorities.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management; represent project execution externally for high-stakes customer interactions.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 10+ years in project/program management or technical delivery roles, with experience leading teams of project or technical program managers in semiconductor or related environments.
Responsibilities
Accountable for portfolio delivery quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project engineering managers focused on Mixed-Signal IP and semiconductor projects.
- Track and analyze portfolio performance across concurrent projects; identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor project health in real time and guide teams to course-correct before issues escalate.
- Communicate status, risks, and customer escalations to senior management with clear context to enable decisions.
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and IP Program Management to align pre-sales commitments with post-sales delivery.
- Drive process consistency, adoption of tools and methodologies, and improvements in execution predictability.
- Support project managers in high-stakes customer engagements, representing delivery when senior-level technical depth or credibility is required.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications, skills, and proven experience.
- Must-have: 10+ years of hands-on experience in project/program/technical delivery roles, ideally in Mixed-Signal IP, SoC, ASIC, or semiconductor development.
- Must-have: Proven track record leading teams of project managers or technical program managers and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Must-have: Deep experience managing customer expectations, handling escalations, and preserving trust under pressure.
- Must-have: Strong practical knowledge of project management methodologies and tools; ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with quality management system processes and procedures.
- Behavioral: Comfortable making timely decisions, surfacing risks early, and communicating complex tradeoffs succinctly to executives and customers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Science, or equivalent practical experience.
