Senior Program Manager (Oryon CPU)

Role Summary

Own technical program management for the Oryon CPU engineering team, coordinating CPU IP development, integration, and delivery into Qualcomm SoCs. Work cross-functionally with IP, SoC, validation, and manufacturing teams to meet schedule, quality, and budget targets.

Experience Level

Senior level - posting lists a minimum of 4+ years of program management or related experience; typical hires report 8+ years.

Responsibilities

Deliver and manage CPU IP development and integration programs across Qualcomm's SoC roadmap. Key responsibilities include:

• Plan, drive, and deliver IP development and SoC integration; create and maintain credible, data-driven schedules and milestones.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to establish plans of record, tasks, program policies, and processes.
• Manage IP–SoC relationships and partnership program management.
• Troubleshoot program issues, develop alternative plans, and adjust schedules, resources, and processes to resolve conflicts.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders and executives.
• Report regularly to senior management on milestones, budgets, metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Develop processes and tools to increase team productivity and program efficiency.
• Manage teams through design, development, validation, test, manufacturing, deployment, and sustaining activities.
• Perform frequent on-site coordination and prolonged computer/test-equipment use as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 4+ years of program management or related work experience.
• Strong semiconductor domain knowledge and proven experience managing complex silicon development programs.
• IP core (preferably CPU) design and debug background; experience managing IP teams across multiple programs.
• Technical expertise across the VLSI development cycle and IP delivery processes.
• Proven track record of planning and executing within resource and schedule constraints.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Familiarity with program management tools and processes to increase engineering productivity.
• Preferred: familiarity with physical design flows, implementation processes, and design closure/signoff.
• Preferred: experience applying AI/data automation to integrate enterprise data and build executive dashboards and metrics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's, Doctorate) may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years).
