Role Summary

Lead and coordinate end-to-end chip design programs from concept through tape-out and silicon bring-up. Operate as the single point of accountability across design, verification, physical design, CAD/methodology, validation, and cross-functional partners to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 8–15+ years of experience in semiconductor or chip design program management.

Responsibilities

Manage program planning, execution, risk, and reporting across multi-site engineering teams.

• Own end-to-end program plans and coordinated schedules across architecture, RTL/DV, physical design, CAD, DFT, AMS, packaging, and silicon validation.
• Drive program reviews, gates, and stage-gate decisions; maintain critical-path visibility and milestones.
• Serve as primary interface between Design, Verification, Layout, CAD, Technology, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business teams; align global teams.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, technical, resource, and dependency risks; own change control for scope, schedule, and resources.
• Define and track execution metrics (schedule health, resource loading, readiness, tape-out indicators) and provide concise executive updates and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with product lifecycle management and design sign-off criteria; run post-mortems and institutionalize improvements.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution without direct authority.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience required for the role.

• 8–15+ years managing semiconductor or chip design programs with multi-functional, multi-site teams.
• Strong knowledge of chip design flows: architecture & RTL, design verification, physical design / place-and-route, tape-out and silicon lifecycle.
• Proven schedule and risk management skills, including recovery planning and change control.
• Experience delivering executive-level summaries and driving decisions through data-driven reporting and dashboards.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve cross-team dependencies, prioritize conflicting demands, and remove execution bottlenecks.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on technical background in RTL, DV, PD, or CAD (prior technical role preferred).
• Experience with memory (DRAM / LPDDR / HBM) or complex SoC programs and advanced technology verification/build flows.
• Track record driving process improvements, automation, or tooling to improve design productivity.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree; equivalent practical experience accepted.
