Role Summary

Responsible for driving project development for Renesas' GaN product line from planning through mass production, coordinating cross-functional teams (design, packaging, test, validation, supply chain, and vendors) to deliver on schedule and on budget.

Serves as the primary project contact, leads gate reviews, manages risks and escalations, and reports status to senior management.

Experience Level

Senior — 12+ years in the semiconductor industry with at least 8+ years of program management experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Create detailed project plans with precise milestones, ownership, and cost assessments.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities among design, packaging, test, validation, supply chain, and external suppliers.
• Implement program-management practices: bottoms-up planning, dependency mapping, critical-path analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Act as first point of contact for project-related issues and lead gate reviews.
• Monitor project progress across all phases and manage schedule and budget.
• Conduct regular project meetings, track action items, and follow up to resolve open issues.
• Report project status to senior management and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 12+ years in the semiconductor industry; at least 8+ years managing SoC or discrete power product development for automotive and industrial applications.
• Understanding of ASIC/SoC development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with design, test, quality, and product engineering.
• Proven ability to scope and manage complex, cross-department projects with timing and budget control.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including MS Project.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. PMP certification is a plus. (No alternative "equivalent experience" language specified.)
