Job Title

Program Management Engineer

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional teams to execute new product releases and ensure successful return on investment in a semiconductor product development environment. The role coordinates design, manufacturing, test, validation, and field teams to deliver products on schedule, on budget, and meeting quality requirements.

This position is part of the product development organization in Bengaluru and requires regular interaction with global fabrication, assembly, and test sites and with senior management.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Requires several years of project engineering/management experience on complex products and demonstrated leadership of cross-functional, global teams.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities for program planning, execution, and reporting include:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (design, marketing, systems/applications, validation, product/test engineering, firmware/software, manufacturing, field, quality) to execute product programs.
  • Plan and manage projects end-to-end using MS Project from opportunity assessment through release to market, ensuring on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with wafer fabrication, assembly, and test sites to meet schedule, cost and quality targets.
  • Develop and implement qualification and reliability plans; perform product reliability and characterization testing.
  • Work with failure analysis to determine root causes and drive corrective actions for reliability and qualification issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date project schedules and milestone tracking; provide weekly and monthly status updates to management.
  • Coordinate material logistics and prioritize shipment/assembly/test activities; interact with customers on project status and deliveries.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required and preferred.

Must-have:

  • Proven project engineering/management experience on highly complex products or projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience influencing multifaceted global organizations, including indirect management.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional global teams across design, fabrication, test, qualification and production ramp.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Experience using MS Project or equivalent project planning tools.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of device packaging, wafer fabrication processes, and production test development.
  • Familiarity with reliability requirements, tri-temperature characterization methods and statistical analysis.
  • Experience managing programs across multiple global locations and interacting with external manufacturing sites.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, changing environments and to build strong cross-functional relationships.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
