The role focuses on execution, yield improvement, debugging, and continuous process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Experience Level
Mid-level — requires 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Deliver reliable test operations and improve production yield through troubleshooting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support Wafer Sort (CP) and Final Test (FT) activities, including testers, handlers, and probers on the Amkor test floor.
- Debug hardware and software issues across control plane and fault-tolerant environments.
- Analyze yield relationships; investigate root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Prepare pre-test materials and hardware; set up test environments and ensure test program execution.
- Monitor test yield, correlation, and equipment performance; resolve issues to meet production targets.
- Use data analysis and AI-assisted tools to improve debugging efficiency and identify failure patterns.
- Collaborate with local planning, engineering, management, and global teams; communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills required to perform the role; nice-to-have items listed separately.
- 5+ years experience in a semiconductor or electronic manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience in Wafer Sort (CP) or Final Test (FT); preference for experience in both.
- Strong debugging skills in ATE environments (hardware and test program issues).
- Proven understanding of test flow from CP to FT, including yield analysis and correlation.
- Foundational knowledge of data analytics and familiarity with AI-assisted tools for test data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and exercise ownership in a dynamic production setting.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience using AI or automation tools to analyze test data and improve engineering efficiency.
- Experience across both CP and FT environments with yield correlation and debug.
