Role Summary

Validate Cadence Innovus digital backend (place-and-route) functionality and regressions. Work within the product validation team to ensure product quality through test design, execution, and automation.

Primary mission: design and run tests, detect and analyze issues, and improve validation coverage and efficiency.

Responsibilities

The role's core responsibilities include:

• Validate digital backend (Innovus) features with emphasis on P&R flows.
• Create and execute regression and feature tests; maintain and expand test suites.
• Develop testing methodology to improve coverage and accelerate issue detection and analysis.
• Implement evaluation utilities and automation using scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, Python).
• Log, triage, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve defects.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Experience validating digital backend EDA tools or P&R flows.
• Proficiency in scripting with Perl, Tcl, or Python for test automation.
• Experience building and running regression tests and debugging failures.
• Ability to analyze failures and drive improvements to test coverage.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Innovus or other Cadence backend tools.
