Product & Test Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for silicon validation, debug, ATE hardware/software development, device characterization, and deploying production test solutions. Embedded in the Product Engineering organization within Hardware Engineering and works cross-functionally with design, test, and manufacturing teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level - typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience in silicon bring-up, test engineering, or hardware engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Validate and debug new silicon and perform device bring-up.
- Develop ATE hardware and software for test and characterization.
- Characterize device performance across process and operating conditions.
- Develop test methodologies for advanced packaging technologies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Release cost-effective production test solutions into high-volume manufacturing.
- Use common lab/test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic/network analyzers) for measurement and debug.
Requirements
Must-have and relevant preferred skills:
- 3+ years' experience with silicon bring-up, high-volume manufacturing, or related hardware engineering work.
- Hands-on experience with lab and test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers.
- Experience developing ATE HW/SW and familiarity with ATE test platforms (preferred: Advantest 93K).
- Familiarity with design-for-test and structural tests (Scan/ATPG, JTAG, memory BIST) - preferred.
- Experience testing CPUs, analog/mixed-signal blocks (ADC, DAC, PLL, codecs) and advanced package technologies - preferred.
- Programming/scripting experience (C/C++, Perl, JMP) - preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
