Product Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on automotive silicon and product development and qualification throughout the product lifecycle, from definition and characterization to production. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including Design, Applications, Manufacturing, fabs and test houses to deliver qualified products that meet automotive quality and cost targets.

Experience Level

Mid-level — more than 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with worldwide cross-functional teams on automotive new silicon/product development and qualification from definition to production.
• Develop and support test solutions from early phases through production, targeting test time and cost objectives.
• Execute characterization, sampling, and qualification activities.
• Ensure quality of deliverables via reviews and release procedures; support Automotive zero-defect (low PPM) goals.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve production issues; use problem-solving methods with Design, Applications, and Manufacturing teams.
• Support production partners such as fabs, manufacturing sites, foundries, and test houses as needed.
• Identify and implement test cost reduction opportunities while maintaining production quality.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred experience, skills and behaviors:

• Must-have: More than 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with exposure to product introduction and production environments.
• Must-have: Good command of English (writing and speaking) for a global working environment.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and synthesis skills; demonstrated ownership and ability to work in teams.
• Nice-to-have: Experience handling New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
• Nice-to-have: Practical experience with test engineering practices, test time/cost optimization, and qualification processes.
• Professional work habits: diligent, hardworking, and detail-oriented.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Automation (or equivalent technical field).
