Product Quality Engineering Manager / Senior Manager

Role Summary

The Product Quality Engineering Manager leads the Product Quality Engineering (PQE) team in Limerick within the GO&T Quality organization. The role manages customer issue resolution, drives product quality performance, and coordinates quality activities across Product, Manufacturing and Customer Quality teams.

Primary responsibilities include ensuring effective problem solving and corrective action, improving new product introduction quality, and mentoring PQE engineers.

Experience Level

Senior (M3/M4). Guidance: 10+ years of relevant semiconductor experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage PQE engineers during customer issue resolution (containment, risk management, root cause, corrective action, prevention).
  • Ensure deployment and effective use of problem-solving tools and the 8D process.
  • Drive lessons learned and preventive actions into the new product introduction process.
  • Champion product quality performance (PPB) through prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Support Product Quality activities within New Product Introduction.
  • Provide regular quality performance and issue status reports to GO&T and BU senior management.
  • Collaborate across Customer Quality, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Systems and Reliability Engineering.
  • Participate in strategic planning and business/quality process improvements; develop and mentor team members.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: 10+ years' experience in semiconductor design, product engineering, test engineering or manufacturing.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with quality problem-solving tools, the 8D process and quality systems.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical ability, project management skills and effective communication across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience managing/coordinating teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Automotive requirements and product development processes.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5–10% as required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
