Work with process, manufacturing and module teams to reduce failures, improve probe coverage and ensure products meet specifications and reliability targets.
Experience Level
Senior β manager-level role. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include leading investigations, improving yield and reliability metrics, and managing the quality assurance team.
- Drive yield improvement initiatives (rdV, UE_Row, PG, PTS) and reduce burn/module defects per million.
- Enhance probe coverage (DL4) and implement shift-left testing strategies.
- Manage MRB cases, conduct postmortems and develop CAPAs; disposition fab deviations and release hold lots.
- Improve product grade yield and monitor wafer-level reliability metrics.
- Oversee RMA management and analysis to identify process or probe improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement systemic and specific corrective actions.
- Monitor and drive improvements in quality metrics, including module production failures and RMAs; report reliability metrics that do not meet specifications.
- Lead analysis of multiple data sources and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders and customers.
- Collaborate with Process, Module Area, RDA and Manufacturing teams on containment and continuous improvement actions.
- Define performance objectives and expectations for the PQA team; provide performance management and feedback.
- Establish communication channels and training/development plans; promote a quality culture and attract necessary talent.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain knowledge.
- Understanding of electrical device parameters and their relation to fabrication processes.
- Proficiency with statistical methods, data analysis and data mining.
- Experience with electrical failure analysis.
- Knowledge of CMOS or silicon-based memory devices and semiconductor/memory reliability mechanisms.
- Familiarity with semiconductor process flow and product disposition for unplanned deviations.
- Experience analyzing RMAs and determining root causes.
- Familiarity with FMEA or 8D problem-solving processes.
- Understanding of reliability specifications (voltage, parametric and reliability specs).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Physics.
