Product Engineering Intern

Role Summary

The Product Engineering Intern supports product engineering teams within High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity & Sensors business groups. The role focuses on yield improvement, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional validation to support manufacturing and product quality for RFIC products.

This is a temporary internship for currently enrolled college students and includes mentoring, hands-on assignments, and a final presentation to business leaders.

Experience Level

Entry-level intern β€” intended for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. No post-degree experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities involve data analysis, process validation, and collaboration across engineering functions.

  • Identify yield improvement opportunities in the manufacturing of advanced RFIC products.
  • Conduct data mining and statistical analysis using appropriate software tools.
  • Develop data analysis routines in Python and apply AI/ML approaches to datasets.
  • Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Test, Applications, Project Management, and Quality teams to validate results and conclusions.
  • Communicate and present findings to engineering teams and business leaders.

Requirements

Core technical skills and candidate attributes required for internship performance.

  • Analog/RF circuit design coursework or hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques such as CPK, SPC, and ANOVA.
  • Coding experience, preferably in Python; familiarity with data tools is recommended.
  • Basic understanding of AI/Machine Learning techniques for analysis of complex datasets.
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company (U.S. work authorization required).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with RF measurement equipment (spectrum and network analyzers).
  • Understanding of power amplifiers (PAs) and low-noise amplifiers (LNAs).
  • Experience with Spark SQL or other large-scale data processing tools.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Minimum GPA of 3.0.
