Role Summary

Senior technical leader responsible for driving Cadence Virtuoso heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging product capabilities. Partner with strategic customers, Product Management, R&D, Product Validation, and Applications to define product strategy, validate solutions, and ensure delivery of complex technical flows for 3D IC and multi-die integration.

Experience Level

Senior - experienced technical leader. Candidate profile targets senior engineers with extensive industry experience (guidance: 15+ years noted in source).

Responsibilities

Define and deliver end-to-end implementation flows, lead customer engagements, and drive cross-functional execution from requirements through customer deployment.

• Drive, validate, and promote system-level design implementation flows for 3D IC, heterogeneous integration, and advanced packaging.
• Lead strategic customer engagements to define and deploy multi-die co-design methodologies.
• Translate customer requirements and market trends into product roadmap input and PRS (Product Requirement Specifications).
• Support R&D with technical use cases, solution validation, and prioritization of critical issues.
• Mentor product engineers and cross-functional teams on complex design-flow challenges and technical decision-making.
• Create technical collateral, demonstrations, application workflows, and enablement materials to accelerate adoption.
• Represent product engineering in roadmap discussions, customer reviews, product launches, and industry events.
• Own deliverables from definition through customer deployment with focus on execution and accountability.
• Travel approximately 5–10% for customer engagements and internal collaboration.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and core skills required for success in this role.

Must-have:

• Deep expertise in semiconductor design, physical implementation, advanced packaging, or EDA product engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of the Cadence Virtuoso platform and custom IC design flows, with the ability to connect technical issues to product strategy.
• Proven ability to shape technical direction and align cross-functional stakeholders around high-value deliverables.
• Proven track record working with strategic customers: discovery of complex requirements, executive-level technical communication, and deployment of advanced design flows.
• Ability to lead through influence, mentor technical contributors, prioritize effectively, and drive technical objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have / Preferences:

• Experience with co-design flows around 3D IC, heterogeneous integration, and silicon-package-board integration.
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro Package Designer Plus (APD+) and package implementation methodologies.
• Knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso SKILL language or other interpreted languages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
