Role Summary
Siemens EDA seeks a Product Engineer specializing in Design-for-Test (DFT) and test delivery at chip and system levels. This position involves working closely with R&D, conducting prototyping and evaluations, leading beta programs, and presenting technical information to a variety of audiences.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 1-3 years of experience in DFT for ASICs/SOCs.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and characterizing new product capabilities to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborating with R&D to prototype and evaluate new products.
- Leading beta programs and supporting beta partners.
- Driving product adoption and growth.
- Creating and delivering technical presentations and training materials.
- Developing tool documentation such as user manuals.
- Working with customers and Siemens EDA stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and creating solutions.
- Collaborating across teams.
- Traveling domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years experience in DFT for ASICs/SOCs.
- Proficiency in LINUX and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (preferred: TCL or Python).
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex design issues.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Industry experience with DFT tools, especially Siemens Tessent tool suite.
- Exposure to IC disciplines such as RTL coding and verification, synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Prior experience mentoring or training junior engineers.
Education Requirements
BS degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
