Product Engineer - Tessent Design for Test (DFT)

Role Summary

The Tessent division seeks a Product Engineer specializing in design-for-test (DFT) and test delivery at chip and system level. This role combines technical expertise in DFT methodologies with exposure to marketing and sales interactions.

Experience Level

Mid-level, with at least 1+ years of experience in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Define and characterize new product capabilities to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with R&D to prototype and test new products within IC design flows.
  • Lead beta programs and support beta partners.
  • Drive product adoption and growth.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and develop training materials.
  • Develop and review tool documentation such as user manuals.
  • Work with customers and Siemens EDA stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and create new methodologies.
  • Present complex principles simply to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate and share information across team boundaries.
  • Travel as necessary, both domestic and international.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Proficiency in LINUX and Windows environments.
  • Experience with scripting languages like TCL or Python.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to learn new DFT methodologies and technologies.
  • Able to work as an individual contributor.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

  • 1+ years of DFT experience for complex ASICs or SOCs.
  • Familiarity with DFT tools, especially the Tessent tool suite.
  • Experience in adjacent IC disciplines such as RTL coding and verification, and ATE use.

Education Requirements

BS degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is required.
