Product Engineer, mmWave Radar

Role Summary

Work on industry-leading mmWave radar sensor devices for automotive and industrial markets as a member of a cross-functional product engineering team in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on device evaluation, characterization, design-for-test (DfT) and production test solutions for high-volume manufacturing.

Experience Level

Entry-level to Mid-level: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience (posting lists minimum 2 years).

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

• Evaluate, debug and characterize integrated circuits to verify product and manufacturing requirements.
• Design bench-evaluation PCBs and develop characterization programs for bench testing.
• Develop DfT techniques and low-cost production test solutions for ATE platforms (e.g., Advantest, Teradyne).
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability and Failure Analysis teams during new product development and production release.
• Work with process and package technology teams to qualify technologies for new products.
• Support global manufacturing sites on product quality, yield management, cost reduction, and product derivatives or spins.

• Must-have: 2+ years of relevant engineering experience; solid understanding of analog and digital circuits, their operation and analysis.
• Must-have: Authorization to work in the United States; Texas Instruments will not sponsor visas for this position.
• Nice-to-have: Production test program and hardware development experience; ATE experience (V93K, J750, VLCT, LTX, iFlex, etc.).
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge across PE disciplines (DfT, ATE hardware/software, characterization, quality & reliability, failure analysis).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with digital and analog test methods, RF analog, high-speed interfaces, and statistics/tools for large production test data (Spotfire, TestWare, ParmDB, etc.).
• Nice-to-have: Programming/scripting proficiency (Python, Java, C++, PERL) and experience with revision control tools (Subversion, Bitbucket, Git).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with integrated circuit/device failure analysis and automation of test equipment.
• Behavioral: Strong teamwork, time management, communication, problem-solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering or a related technical field is required (posting lists "Bachelor's degree" as the minimum educational requirement).
