Product Engineer, LAMPS (Tucson)
Role Summary
Support product development, evaluation, characterization and production release for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits serving automotive and industrial markets. Work cross-functionally with design, test, applications, manufacturing, quality, reliability and failure analysis teams.
Primary focus areas include bench validation, IC characterization, root-cause analysis and transferring products from development to production.
Experience Level
Entry-level β approximately 2 years of relevant experience is required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Evaluate, debug and characterize integrated circuits to confirm they meet product and manufacturing requirements.
- Design and build bench evaluation PCBs and develop characterization programs.
- Develop and automate lab test procedures and measurement workflows.
- Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, quality, reliability and failure analysis to resolve issues.
- Support process and package technology qualification and product release activities.
- Work with global manufacturing sites to address yield, quality and cost improvements for mature products.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Approximately 2 years of relevant semiconductor/product development or characterization experience.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits and their operation and analysis.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for data collection, device debug or failure analysis.
- Bench testing experience with op-amps, ADCs, mixed-signal and digital circuits.
- Experience with characterization PCBs and integrated circuit failure analysis.
- Programming skills for test automation (LabVIEW, TestStand, C or C++).
- Knowledge of statistics and tools for analyzing characterization data and setting production test limits.
- Experience taking products from development to production; strong time management and cross-functional teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
