Product Engineer Intern
Role Summary
Internship role supporting the Product Engineering team to improve semiconductor product yield, validate test methods, and support test development across High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and Connectivity & Sensors business groups.
The intern will perform data analysis, support cross-functional problem solving, and help implement continuous improvement efforts to drive high-yield manufacturing.
Experience Level
Intern β college-level internship for undergraduate (junior/senior) or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited degree program.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities during the internship include:
- Analyze product performance and yield at wafer and packaged levels.
- Support development and execution of test plans for prototype and production electrical testing.
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis; maintain product history and documentation.
- Correlate results between test platforms and ensure data accuracy.
- Provide yield plans and participate in improvement efforts to meet yield targets.
- Interface with Design, Fab, Test, Applications, Product Management, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Assist with test development activities and learn semiconductor test methodologies.

- Must-have: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong attention to detail; self-starter with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Position is not eligible for company visa sponsorship.
- Nice-to-have: Semiconductor theory coursework; analog/RF circuit design coursework or experience.
- Exposure to DC and RF measurement equipment (oscilloscope, signal generators, spectrum/network analyzers) is desirable.
- Familiarity with software/tools such as Python, ADS, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, Spotfire, JMP, FEM, or similar is a plus.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's (junior or senior), Master's, or PhD program. The role specifically expects Electrical Engineering students; minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Internship program eligibility includes students in accredited degree programs.
