Role Summary

Work on the Cadence Digital and Signoff Product Engineering team to define, prototype and productize AI/ML solutions for digital implementation and signoff flows. Collaborate with R&D and customer-facing teams to deliver tools that address design closure, PPA, and signoff challenges.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–3 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and delivering AI-enabled features and solving complex digital design issues.

• Define, prototype, and productize AI/ML solutions for implementation and signoff workflows.
• Develop solutions to diagnose and resolve design PPA (power, performance, area) and closure problems.
• Debug complex design issues and implement fixes or workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and field teams to enable productization and deployment of solutions.
• Write clear technical documentation and communicate results to engineering and customer teams.

• Must-have: Sound knowledge of IC design flows, especially implementation and signoff domains.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience with design closure and debug, or demonstrable experience in ML/AI with willingness to apply it to digital design.
• Must-have: Strong programming skills in Tcl and Python.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience productizing software features or working with field/customer teams to deploy solutions.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering: BE / BTech / ME / MTech or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
