Job Title

Product Engineer II, Conformal

Role Summary

Product Engineer for Cadence Conformal products, responsible for technical support, customer-facing problem resolution, and working with R&D to deliver product features and fixes. Primary focus on equivalency checking (Conformal LEC).

Role requires reproducing and isolating customer issues, communicating status, and enabling engineering to implement robust solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience in EDA, RTL verification, or related engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include customer engagement, issue resolution, and supporting feature delivery.

  • Act as the technical liaison between customers and R&D; represent R&D to customers and vice versa.
  • Investigate and reproduce customer problems, perform root-cause analysis, and identify acceptable workarounds.
  • Provide regular status updates and clear technical translations to engineering teams.
  • Contribute to delivery of product features, enhancements, and validation of fixes.
  • Work reliably under strict deadlines and coordinate across teams to resolve escalations.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience, plus useful additions.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of relevant EDA or verification experience.
  • Must-have: Strong scripting skills (Tcl and Perl; other scripting languages acceptable).
  • Required: Ability to debug complex issues and communicate technical findings clearly.
  • Recommended / Nice-to-have: Knowledge of RTL synthesis flows and verification tools.
  • Nice-to-have: RTL coding experience and low-power design exposure.
  • Nice-to-have: Technical writing skills.

Education Requirements

A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Equivalent practical experience may be considered. The role also expects a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
