Job Title

Product Engineer

Role Summary

Work on HPA product development and qualification for MMWave silicon IC beamformers and frequency converters, from prototype through production. Collaborate with design, test, process, reliability, quality and operations teams to improve yield, manufacturability and test solutions.

Focus areas include new product introductions, yield optimization, statistical analysis, and production test development.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a semiconductor environment; candidates with several years of hands-on product engineering or manufacturing experience are expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical ownership of product engineering deliverables and data-driven yield and quality improvement.

  • Own product engineering activities for new product development and prototype release.
  • Analyze prototype results and provide actionable recommendations for design revisions.
  • Develop electrical test plans for wafers and packaged devices; set screening limits and guard-bands.
  • Use statistical methods (SPC, CPK, DOE, ANOVA, time-series) to drive decisions and reduce variability.
  • Track wafer foundry parameters, identify correlations, and troubleshoot process/equipment issues to improve yield.
  • Support Test Engineering to debug, validate, and release production test hardware and software.
  • Perform measurement systems analysis (Gauge R&R) and compile results for stakeholders.
  • Generate yield plans and engage in cross-functional problem-solving and process-improvement projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource across design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as products transition into production.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools and workplace qualifications.

  • Practical experience in a semiconductor environment; background in wireless RF is preferred.
  • Understanding of IC reliability and qualification methods.
  • Proficiency with disciplined problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys).
  • Experience with statistical methods and data tools such as Databricks, SQL, Python, Spotfire, JMP and Excel.
  • Knowledge of RF/microwave theory, semiconductor physics, and common RF test equipment/methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build consensus across levels.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and lead tactical and strategic projects.
  • Must be a US Person and eligible to work on US Government contracts; the company will not sponsor visas for this position.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal degree is acceptable according to the posting language.
