Role Summary

Responsible for evaluation, characterization and productization of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits used in Automotive and Industrial markets. Work spans bench evaluation, test-program development, failure analysis, process/package qualification and collaboration with design, manufacturing, quality and reliability teams to move products from development to production.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Support development of analog amplifiers, temperature sensors, sensor analog front ends and application-specific signal-processing ICs.
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability during new product development and production release.
• Design bench evaluation PCBs and develop characterization programs for bench evaluations.
• Perform evaluation, debug and electrical characterization of integrated circuits to verify product and manufacturing requirements.
• Work with failure analysis to determine root causes of reliability and qualification issues.
• Support process and package technology development and qualification for new products.
• Coordinate with global manufacturing to address product quality, yield management and cost reduction for mature products, including product spins and derivatives.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills.

• Must-have: Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit operation and analysis; experience evaluating, debugging and characterizing ICs; ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams; strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and time-management skills.
• Nice-to-have / Preferred: Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, curve tracers, spectrum analyzers, return-loss analyzers); bench testing of op-amps, ADCs and mixed-signal circuits; experience with bench validation/characterization PCBs and IC failure analysis; programming for test automation (LabVIEW/TestStand, C/C++); statistics and tools for analyzing characterization data; experience transitioning products from development to production.

Education Requirements
