Job Title

Product Engineer (DVT)

Role Summary

As a Product Engineer on the Siemens EDA Functional Verification team you will define product features, drive deployment and scalability, and work closely with product development, marketing, application engineers and customers.

Role includes customer-facing activities (demos, training, evaluations), participation in feature specification and validation, and occasional domestic and international travel.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 3–10 years of experience in functional verification; preference indicated for candidates with more than 5 years.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities focus on product definition, customer engagement, and enabling product rollout and adoption.

  • Define product features and requirements for Siemens Functional Verification based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Work with product development and marketing to translate customer challenges into product solutions and rollout plans.
  • Maintain technical relationships with customers; deliver demonstrations, training, evaluations, and benchmarking.
  • Provide input to product direction by capturing customer requirements and use models.
  • Participate in new feature specification, development, and validation to ensure products meet customer needs.
  • Support marketing with market research, product positioning, and presentation materials; represent the product at conferences and events.
  • Collaborate across geographies and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for day-to-day success in this role.

  • 3–10 years' experience in the functional verification domain; preference for candidates with >5 years.
  • Strong practical experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Experience with simulation/verification methods: directed tests, constraint-random testing, assertions, and coverage-driven verification.
  • RTL and gate-level verification and debug experience.
  • Low-power verification techniques (UPF, CPF) experience.
  • Experience using verification methodologies (AVM/OVM/VMM/UVM) on complex projects.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as AMBA, JEDEC, PCIe (advantageous).
  • Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Questa, Synopsys VCS, Verdi, or Cadence Xcelium/IES.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; customer-facing experience.
  • Exposure to sales/applications environments, formal verification, CDC/RDC/Lint are pluses.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required: BE/B.Tech/BS or M.Tech/MS in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Telecom Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
