Role Summary

Responsible for leading new product qualification and transferring qualified products into manufacturing for network switch applications. Works with cross-functional teams to define product characterization, qualification tests, yield targets and quality controls to support manufacturing ramp and product reliability.

Primary mission is to ensure product quality, improve yield and reduce defects and cost across qualification and ramp processes.

Experience Level

Senior — requires more than 7 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include product qualification, transfer to manufacturing, yield improvement and customer return analysis.

• Lead cross-functional teams for new product qualification and characterization.
• Define process windows through skew lot analysis; perform HTOL/ESD/LU qualification.
• Transfer qualified products to manufacturing: set up BOM, test flow, yield limits and quality controls.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce defects, improve yield and lower costs.
• Support fab/assembly process improvements, manufacturing ramp, and perform risk assessment and mitigation for new products.
• Lead product yield excursion investigations: quantify business impact, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze customer returns, implement corrective actions and support OSAT audits.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience and behaviors for the role.

• More than 7 years' experience in new product engineering or product development for network switch applications.
• Strong understanding of product characterization, skew lot analysis and HTOL/ESD/LU qualification methods.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience with data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with statistical methods; SPC and DOE experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; capable of executive-level presentations and working with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization and problem-solving abilities.

Education Requirements

BS, MS or PhD in Engineering (Electronic/Electrical), Science or Physics. No explicit statement about acceptable equivalent practical experience was provided.
