Product Engineer D&A Intern
Role Summary
Internship on the Product Engineering team supporting data analysis, yield improvement, and test development for RF and power semiconductor products. Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Fab, Test, Applications, Product Management, Quality) to analyze product performance and support manufacturing problem resolution.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program; typical internship candidates are college juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
Responsibilities
Typical internship responsibilities include:
- Analyze product performance data and produce reports on semiconductor technologies.
- Perform wafer- and packaged-level yield analysis and help develop yield improvement plans.
- Support problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
- Conduct data mining and statistical analysis using relevant software tools.
- Verify data accuracy by correlating test platforms and maintain product history and documentation.
- Help develop test plans for prototype and production electrical testing.
- Collaborate with Design, Fab, Test, Applications, Product Management, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve yields.
- Assist with development of semiconductor test methods and related test development activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and conditions (extracted from posting):
- Eligible to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Detail oriented and able to ensure accurate data and documentation.
- Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information.
- Familiarity with DC and RF measurement equipment is desirable (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum/network analyzers).
- Software exposure desired: Python, ADS, FEM tools, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, Dynamic Link, Spotfire, JMP.
- Analog/RF circuit design coursework or experience is highly desired.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program (BS junior/senior, MS, or PhD) β preferably in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Semiconductor theory coursework is preferred.
