Product Engineer (Career Accelerator Program)

Role Summary

Entry-level role in TI's Career Accelerator Program (CAP). The position rotates through product, test and validation engineering tasks to develop practical skills in test software and hardware, product debugging, test optimization, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Support assigned product lines to meet profitability, capacity and yield targets; resolve customer quality and application issues; and collaborate with cross-functional teams and manufacturing sites.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New graduate. Intended for recent graduates; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical work across product, test and validation engineering and operational ownership for assigned products.

• Develop and implement strategies to meet profitability, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield improvement targets for assigned product lines.
• Serve as primary operational contact for assigned product portfolio; coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Investigate and resolve customer quality and application problems; support device failure verification and reliability testing.
• Design, develop and verify test hardware and software; optimize test programs and release to manufacturing.
• Perform product debugging, bench characterization and validation using lab setups and automated test equipment.
• Establish and maintain communication with wafer fabrication and assembly sites to enable effective problem solving.
• Participate in on-the-job learning, formal technical training and rotational experiences within product, test and validation functions.

Requirements

Must-have versus preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: Availability to start work in January 2027.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: Internship experience at a semiconductor or electronics company; basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components; familiarity with analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing); programming skills in C/C++ (LabVIEW recommended); experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, soldering and hardware debugging.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; analytical problem-solving ability; ability to learn new systems quickly; initiative and time management to meet project deadlines.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required in Electronics, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0 or higher. Able to start work in January 2027. No alternative "equivalent experience" language specified.
