Product Engineer - Calibre LVS

Role Overview

The Product Engineer for Calibre LVS plays a critical role within the Siemens EDA team. This position is responsible for providing technical support and training related to Calibre Layout Vs. Schematic (LVS), fostering productive collaboration and innovation among diverse engineering teams.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with Level - Mid-Career experience, ideally possessing both technical expertise in Electronic Design Automation and strong interpersonal skills to engage with customers and cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert technical support and in-depth training to customers and Application Engineers (AEs).
• Drive product innovation by collaborating with software development, field engineers, and customers.
• Communicate product benefits clearly to customers to enhance engagement.
• Analyze market trends to identify and implement product improvements.
• Define, prototype, and develop new tool capabilities based on feedback and market needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product feature development and deployment.
• Create and update technical documentation and training materials.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Familiarity with physical and circuit verification processes, CAD tools, and semiconductor process engineering are advantageous. Strong programming skills in Tcl/Tk, Shell Scripting, and Python on UNIX/Linux are essential. Soft skills such as teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel are also important.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is mandatory for this role.
