Role Summary

As a Product Engineer on the silicon validation and characterization team in Manila, you will develop and execute ATE and bench characterization to validate device IP and define product parameters. You will work with design, applications, and manufacturing teams to identify root causes, drive corrective actions, and deliver tested samples.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 8+ years of individual contributor experience in Product Engineering or silicon validation/characterization.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing test programs, executing characterization across process/temperature/voltage, analyzing results, and delivering validated product data.

• Develop ATE test and characterization programs and test plans targeting chip IP functions.
• Execute characterization using wafer-level and package-level ATE and bench platforms across process, temperature, and voltage.
• Apply statistical analysis to characterization data to define datasheet parameters and report results.
• Identify root causes of product marginalities and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Design and implement test circuits using FPGA fabric and embedded IP; develop bench automation and data collection scripts.
• Design and develop ATE and bench hardware; integrate and debug test systems.
• Plan and execute testing of samples (AS, ES) and deliver tested samples to internal and external customers.
• Analyze and report on test yield and test time; drive product issues to closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; listed concisely.

• 8+ years individual contributor in Product Engineering or silicon validation/characterization.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor devices and test methodologies.
• Experience in ATE test program development, integration and debug on Nextest Magnum and Advantest T2K.
• Experience in hardware development (bench board) and IC validation using bench tools (oscilloscope, pattern generators, data timing generator, multimeters).
• Experience with wafer test flows: WAT/etest, wafer sort, package assembly, final test.
• Proficiency in programming for automation and analysis (Python, C++); strong Windows and Unix skills.
• Experience with statistical process control, yield analysis, and statistical analysis software (SAS JMP, R).
• Excellent verbal and written English; ability to work cross-functionally across cultures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and curious.
• Nice-to-have: experience with programmable logic, RTL design/verification, DFT methodologies (scan, BIST), Verilog/VHDL.

Education Requirements

BS degree in Electrical/Computer/Circuit Engineering (ECE, CoE, EE) or Physics.
