Job Title

Product Engineer (Analog Design Environment)

Role Summary

The Product Engineer will evangelize and demonstrate Cadence's Analog Design Environment (ADE) tools and agentic workflows for custom analog, RF and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation.

This role works directly with customers and internal application engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues, collect customer requirements, and advocate improvements to R&D for usability and performance.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically 3+ years of experience in custom circuit design and simulation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on customer engagement, technical expertise, and product feedback.

  • Serve as a technical evangelist and demonstrator for ADE tools and related agentic workflows.
  • Work with customers and application engineers to troubleshoot and resolve design and simulation issues.
  • Collect and synthesize customer requirements; act as customer advocate to R&D for product improvements.
  • Define and improve use models and user interfaces based on customer feedback.
  • Document and communicate technical solutions and best practices to internal teams and customers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience followed by useful additions that strengthen candidacy.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of experience in custom circuit design and simulation.
  • Must-have: Experience in customer-facing technical roles and strong communication skills.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to drive product requirements and influence R&D on usability and performance.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Virtuoso ADE tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI agents, generative AI, and RAG implementations for LLMs.
  • Nice-to-have: Basic SKILL and shell programming experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
