Product Engineer
Role Summary
Support definition, promotion, and deployment of hardware-assisted acceleration using the Veloce proFPGA CS prototyping platform. Focus on external interface connectivity (PCIe, Ethernet) and FPGA-based prototyping for pre- and post-silicon validation and software bring-up.
Work as part of the global Veloce expert team and collaborate directly with customers, application engineers, sales, and R&D to deliver and improve prototyping solutions.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical experience guidance from the posting: Master's degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience.
Responsibilities
The role combines customer-facing technical support, hands-on lab work, and cross-functional product feedback.
- Integrate, configure, and debug interface solutions on the proFPGA CS prototyping platform in support of Application Engineers and customers.
- Enable and troubleshoot PCIe, Ethernet, flash, and other extension boards connected to Xilinx VP1902 FPGAs.
- Configure and debug Xilinx IP and use the Xilinx Integrated Logic Analyzer (ILA) for validation and debugging.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to drive adoption of prototyping technologies and deliver technical presentations, demos, and training.
- Collaborate with sales, R&D, and product marketing to relay customer requirements and identify product improvements and business opportunities.
- Manage complex technical projects independently and build peer-level relationships with customer engineering teams.
Requirements

- Proven experience designing, implementing, and testing FPGA-based designs.
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx Vivado for IP creation, integration, and optimization.
- Experience using Xilinx ILA and practical lab hardware debugging skills.
- Knowledge of PCIe and/or Ethernet protocols and experience integrating extension boards with FPGAs (Xilinx VP1902 mentioned).
- Customer-facing experience and strong communication skills for technical support and presentations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them.

Nice-to-have: experience with commercial FPGA prototyping platforms (preferably Siemens proFPGA/proFPGA CS), FPGA embedded processors, and PetaLinux.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
