Product Engineer
Role Summary
Work on bench evaluation, debug, characterization and production release activities for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits used in automotive and industrial markets. Collaborate with design, applications, test, manufacturing, quality, reliability and process teams to develop and qualify products from development into production.
This position is part of a 12-month new-graduate development program (Career Accelerator Program) that provides technical training and on-the-job learning.
Experience Level
Entry-level β new college graduate; 0β3 years of professional experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on evaluation and cross-functional support throughout new product development and production.
- Perform evaluation, debug and electrical characterization of integrated circuits to verify product and manufacturing requirements.
- Design and build bench evaluation PCBs and develop characterization programs for bench tests.
- Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, quality, reliability and applications teams to support product release and sustainment.
- Work with failure analysis to determine root causes of reliability and qualification issues.
- Support process and package technology development and qualification for new products.
- Partner with global manufacturing sites to address product quality, yield and cost-reduction on mature products.
- Contribute to product spins and derivative work as required.

- Demonstrated problem solving, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have / Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (curve tracers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, return-loss analyzers) for data capture, device debug and failure analysis.
- Experience bench-testing op-amps, ADCs, mixed-signal and digital circuits; experience with bench validation/characterization PCBs.
- Experience with integrated circuit failure analysis and yield/power/test-limit analysis.
- Programming for test automation (LabVIEW, TestStand) and familiarity with C or C++.
- Knowledge of statistics and tools for analyzing characterization data and predicting yield.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering or a related engineering field (Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree). The role is targeted to new college graduates (0β3 years of experience) participating in a 12-month new-graduate development program.
