NVIDIAJob Title
Product Development Engineer β Post-Si Characterization
Role Summary
Join the Operations Product Development Engineering GPU team to lead post-silicon characterization and test development that productizes NVIDIA GPUs for consumer, professional, and datacenter markets. The role focuses on ATE test methodology, failure analysis, and cross-functional solutions from silicon debug through qualification.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 5+ years of relevant product development or characterization experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include post-silicon characterization, test development, and driving corrective actions through cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop and implement ATE test methodologies for next-generation GPU circuits and advanced silicon/assembly processes.
- Drive product engineering from architecture to silicon to market, partnering with feature designers to define success criteria.
- Perform failure analysis and resolve wafer- and package-level failures on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Design and execute DOEs to solve complex characterization problems.
- Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations with foundry, DFT, test, planning, and quality teams.
- Influence ASIC design for improved circuit quality and testability to reduce qualification time and test cost.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 5+ years of product development engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with digital design, circuit analysis, characterization, and qualification.
- Familiarity with ATE test flows, design-for-test (DFT), and device physics.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis (JMP or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and independent ownership to drive issues to closure.
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K testers (SMT7 or SMT8 OS).
- Experience in test time and DPPM reduction, and voltage/frequency characterization for logic or SRAM.
- DFT background and familiarity with ATE test principles.
- Experience applying automation or AI tools to silicon/package troubleshooting.
Education Requirements
