Job Title

Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for improving product yield and supporting high-quality product releases by diagnosing yield-impacting issues, performing failure analysis, and driving continuous improvement across processes and products.

Works with Research & Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality teams to implement corrective actions and ensure smooth product transitions into production.

Experience Level

Entry-level. No specific years of prior experience specified.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze product yield data to identify root causes of low yield.
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve process- and defect-related issues.
  • Conduct physical failure analysis to determine mechanisms related to assembly defects and fabrication processes.
  • Apply statistical tools and methodologies to plan and measure yield improvement initiatives.
  • Follow lab and chemical safety procedures and contribute to best-known methods.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Ability to work rotating day-to-night shifts in four-month intervals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow established lab procedures and safety protocols.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience or training in physical failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and test flows.
  • Experience with FIB (Focused Ion Beam) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer and internal partner relationships.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, drive for results, integrity, and a focus on continuous self-development.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science & Engineering. Equivalent experience is explicitly accepted in place of a degree.
