Product Development Engineer (28nm)

Role Summary

The Product Development Engineer (28nm) at Texas Instruments will be responsible for driving the ramp of new technology in semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves working within a team at TFAB to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency through yield optimization and continuous improvement practices.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing and related fields.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting yield analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with business units for new product launch and qualification.
  • Providing production support for process troubleshooting.
  • Leading initiatives for productivity and cost reduction.
  • Utilizing statistical tools to make data-driven engineering decisions.
  • Working with design teams on simulation and verification processes.
  • Liaising with cross-functional teams for yield improvements.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Experience with 28nm or similar technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test engineering, or failure analysis.
  • Technical knowledge of semiconductor devices and failure analysis principles.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools like JMP and Excel.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in related fields.
  • Experience with ATPG diagnostics and electrical failure analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of IC design and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
