Product Definer (IO Aggregator)

Role Summary

As Product Definer on the Secure Connected Edge Business team, you will define IO aggregator, IO hub and bridging product roadmaps, translate customer requirements into specifications, and drive cross-functional product development to delivery. The role focuses on technical product definition, customer engagement, competitive analysis, and enabling design-ins for embedded, mobile, and automotive applications.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 15+ years of relevant experience in product definition, architecture specification, customer engagement, and competitive benchmarking.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical product definition, customer interaction, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Identify new markets and application trends; define IO aggregator and bridging solution roadmaps.
  • Translate customer and system requirements into product specifications and clear value propositions.
  • Perform competitive technical analysis and benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with design, test, applications, and marketing teams to develop and launch products on schedule.
  • Prepare technical documentation: product specifications, datasheets, white papers, application notes, presentations, and demos.
  • Oversee development of application reference circuits and demonstration boards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex customer issues to secure design-ins.
  • Deliver application support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers.
  • Support product marketing and customer account teams with technical expertise and customer engagements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience.

  • Strong knowledge of serial and low-pin-count protocols: I3C, I2C, SPMI, SPI, JTAG, SWD, SDIO.
  • Familiarity with one or more high-speed interfaces: PCIe, MIPI, USB 3.2, DisplayPort.
  • Experience participating in standards development and contributing to standardization efforts.
  • Good understanding of mobile, automotive, and embedded/IoT system architectures.
  • Proven ability to engage customers early and translate system needs into architecture and feature trade-offs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Lab validation, test automation experience and familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, waveform generators, logic analyzers) β€” desirable.
  • Knowledge of PCB design, materials, stack-up and simulation techniques β€” desirable.
  • Experience developing behavioral or channel models (IBIS, IBIS-AMI, SystemC) β€” desirable.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent in Electronics/Electrical Engineering is expected. Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is desirable. The employer may consider equivalent practical experience.
