Processor Core Logic Design/Architect
Role Summary
Lead architecture and design of processor core logic features and enhancements. Work with the Chief Architect and cross-functional teams to define, specify, and productize solutions for core logic subsystems.
This role focuses on architecture, specification, and design delivery for load/store, fetch/branch, memory management, and bus protocol areas.
Experience Level
Senior level. Minimum 3 years of experience in processor core logic design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining architecture and driving designs through validation and productization.
- Partner with the Chief Architect to identify opportunities for core logic improvement.
- Architect, specify, and design enhancements to address identified opportunities.
- Collaborate with validation and physical design teams to productize and deliver solutions.
- Provide architecture guidance and reviews for core logic features and implementations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; also lists a concise set of desirable skills.
- Must-have: Strong knowledge in at least one of: load/store, instruction fetch and branch prediction, memory management, or bus protocols.
- Must-have: Strong architecture knowledge and proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with performance analysis and optimization, including identifying bottlenecks, analyzing/modeling improvements, and implementing solutions.
