Process Integration Intern, ULP CMOS Technology Development (Summer 2027)
Role Summary
Support process integration for ultra-low-power (ULP) CMOS devices on FinFET and FDSOI platforms. Work within a cross-functional process integration and characterization team to improve device performance, yield, defectivity, and support new technology development.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current undergraduate or graduate students (student status required; at least sophomore at time of application).
Responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities focus on experimental execution, data-driven problem solving, and collaboration across device and process teams.
- Use data systems and structured problem-solving methods, including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Collaborate with device, process module, and characterization teams to develop and qualify new technology features.
- Analyze process and electrical data to identify issues and support continuous improvement plans and technical solutions.
- Assist with new project introduction and characterization; prioritize tasks based on business needs and coordinate with extended module teams.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

- English fluency (written and verbal).
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period.
- Familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods is preferred.
- Experience or coursework in structured problem solving (DOE, FMEA) is preferred.
- Preferred: prior related internship/co-op experience, leadership experience, project management and communication skills, and interest in using AI tools to improve productivity.
Education Requirements
At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited program. Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and in good academic standing. Relevant coursework or research in semiconductor processing, device physics, process integration, or electrical characterization is preferred.
