Process Integration Development Engineer
Role Summary
The engineer will design, optimize, and implement integrated semiconductor process solutions within Intel's Logic Technology Development (LTD) organization to enable next-generation device architectures and support transition to high-volume manufacturing.
Work focuses on process integration, yield analysis, experiment design, and transferring technologies to manufacturing.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Experienced hire). Minimum 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience is required.
Responsibilities
The role leads and executes process integration activities from experiment design through manufacturing ramp and technology transfer.
- Lead scientific research and development to enable manufacturing of novel device architectures.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to meet engineering and process specifications.
- Integrate multiple process steps required for complex microprocessor manufacture.
- Develop and contribute to intellectual property.
- Ramp processes to manufacturing volumes and transfer technologies to manufacturing counterparts using Copy Exactly methodology.
Requirements
Minimum technical skills and experience required; preferred items listed separately.
- 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience in processing, fabrication, or nanotechnology.
- Practical experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Computational/data-analysis skills applicable to process development and yield improvement.
- Experience designing, executing, and analyzing process experiments.
- Experience ramping process technologies and collaborating with manufacturing teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Electrical characterization of transistors or other semiconductor devices.
- Experience leading projects and cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Ph.D. required in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
