Role Summary

This role involves leading a cross-functional team in developing and implementing new GaN/GaAs technology, products, and processes for RF Compound Semiconductor ICs. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure that technologies meet specific requirements, with an expectation of being onsite at the Richardson, TX location at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a cross-functional team to develop and qualify new GaN/GaAs technologies and processes for production.
  • Collaborating with business units, designers, and fabrication teams to create reliable RF Compound Semiconductor ICs.
  • Developing process flows and design elements to ensure circuit performance.
  • Designing experiments to identify manufacturability issues and process sensitivities.
  • Monitoring in-line testing functions supporting technology and process releases.
  • Analyzing characterization data to verify specifications are met.
  • Identifying and improving yield and performance limitations.
  • Defining design rules associated with new technology and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications required for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in process development/integration within the semiconductor industry.
  • Expertise in developing process flows and design elements.
  • Ability to design experiments to pinpoint manufacturability issues.
  • Experience in designing and monitoring RF probe tests.
  • Proficiency in collecting and analyzing characterization data.
  • Knowledge in defining design rules for new products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics; advanced degrees preferred.
