Principal Validation Architect - Data Center GPU
Role Summary
Member of the Data Center GPU (DCGPU) Validation and Engineering team responsible for defining validation strategy, methodologies, automation frameworks, emulation approaches, and debug capabilities for next-generation AI, ML, and HPC accelerators.
Work closely with architecture, design, product engineering, software, and hardware teams to enable silicon bring-up, product readiness, and high customer quality. Role is based in Austin, TX and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
Lead validation architecture and practices across the product lifecycle to improve quality and reduce time-to-market.
- Define and evolve scalable validation strategies, coverage models, and frameworks for AI/ML/HPC accelerators.
- Drive observability, controllability, debuggability, emulation, and automation improvements for faster root-cause analysis.
- Provide architectural leadership on issues involving coherency, memory subsystems, power management, security, PCIe, and HW/SW interactions.
- Partner with silicon architects and cross-functional technical leaders to develop validation approaches for advanced GPU architectures, HBM systems, coherent interconnects, and large-scale AI infrastructure.
- Promote adoption of modern, data-driven validation practices including AI-assisted workflows and at-scale validation environments.
Requirements
Core skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items listed separately.
- Must-have: Deep expertise in GPU, SoC, and server platform validation, including post-silicon bring-up and system-level debug across hardware and software domains.
- Must-have: Proven experience developing validation architectures, methodologies, test strategies, automation frameworks, and infrastructure for complex semiconductor products.
- Must-have: Proficiency in programming/scripting (C/C++ and Python) and working knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Must-have: Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction, build cross-functional partnerships, and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders.
- Must-have: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with HBM memory systems, coherent interconnects, PCIe, power management, and security-related validation.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with emulation strategies, at-scale validation environments, AI-assisted validation workflows, and large-scale data center platform validation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline required. Master's degree preferred.
