Job Title
Principal Technical Program Manager, SoC Development — TeraWave
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end technical program execution for SoC/IC developments supporting TeraWave digital beamforming and satellite communications. Drive cross-functional teams, external partners, and suppliers from requirements through tapeout, silicon bring-up, qualification, and production transition.
Deliver high-reliability hardware on schedule by managing risks, dependencies, and technical trade-offs across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders.
Experience Level
Senior / Principal level. Minimum 7+ years of technical program management experience; 10+ years preferred for Principal-level consideration.
Responsibilities
Drive program planning, execution, and reporting across the SoC development lifecycle.
- Own integrated program schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risk registers, and execution dashboards.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (architecture, analog/mixed-signal, digital, verification, physical design, systems, firmware) and operations (supply chain, quality, manufacturing).
- Manage third-party IP integration, licensing milestones, and vendor deliverables.
- Plan and execute tapeout readiness, silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, and production ramp with OSAT partners.
- Identify and mitigate schedule, technical, supplier, and operational risks; manage critical path execution.
- Translate technical complexity into clear executive-level status, risks, decisions needed, and mitigation plans.
- Support build-vs-buy, supplier strategy, packaging, and test strategy decisions and change control.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications for successful delivery of complex SoC hardware programs.
Must-have:
- 7+ years of technical program management, engineering program management, or equivalent technical leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing complex hardware, semiconductor, aerospace, satcom, RF, or high-reliability technology programs.
- Working technical knowledge of IC/SoC development lifecycle, analog/mixed-signal or digital ASIC/SoC design, RF/beamforming or satellite communications, or advanced packaging and silicon qualification.
- Experience building and maintaining integrated schedules, risk registers, dependency maps, milestone plans, and executive-level program reporting.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to manage external partners, vendors, suppliers, or IP providers.
- Must be a U.S. person as required by export control regulations for this role.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of technical program management for Principal-level consideration.
- Direct experience leading semiconductor programs through tapeout, silicon bring-up, qualification, and production ramp.
- Experience with complex SoCs containing ADC/DAC, PLLs, SerDes, DSP engines, embedded processors, memory interfaces, or custom accelerators.
- Familiarity with package technologies, OSAT selection, ATE partners, and semiconductor supply chains.
- Knowledge of qualification and reliability standards for aerospace, defense, space, or high-reliability semiconductor products.
- Formal program management training or certifications (PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) are beneficial.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline required. Master’s degree or higher in those fields preferred. Relevant program-management certifications (PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) are noted as preferred.
