Principal Systems Architect Engineer
Role Summary
Lead system architecture for next-generation 4G LTE and 5G modems focused on IoT devices. Work with algorithm, hardware, DSP/embedded software, RF and platform teams to define modem technical specifications and ensure delivery that meets product requirements.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining modem architecture and ensuring alignment across engineering disciplines.
- Define and oversee modem architecture, specifications and key design decisions.
- Coordinate requirements and trade-offs across algorithm, HW, DSP/embedded SW, RF and platform teams.
- Drive architectural dimensioning, partitioning (RF/HW/SW) and low-power trade-offs.
- Establish and apply processes to ensure solution quality and on-time delivery across distributed teams.
- Ensure technical definition meets product strategy and marketing requirements.
Requirements

- Extensive experience (senior-level) in ASIC and SoC architecture and successful delivery of chip designs.
- Strong technical knowledge across DSP, hardware, RF and ASIC design.
- Expertise in chip architecture, dimensioning, RF/HW/SW partitioning, trade-off management and low-power design.
- Experience with wireless systems engineering, ideally 4G/5G and 3GPP standards.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools such as VSS, SystemVue and MATLAB.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional, cross-cultural and offshore teams; strong leadership and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Engineering degree expected: Bachelor's (BSc) in Science or Engineering is cited; Master's (MSc) or PhD also referenced as acceptable.
