Role Summary
The Principal Solutions Engineer will deliver custom analog layout and verification services for customers and support validation of Cadence Virtuoso tools. The role works with customers to define technical and schedule requirements and collaborates with R&D to improve layout and verification workflows.

Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality custom layout services and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement custom analog layout blocks and standard-cell layouts with high quality and efficiency.
- Manage customer requirements, schedules, and deliverables for services projects worldwide.
- Collaborate with Cadence R&D (Virtuoso, PVS teams) to validate and improve layout editing and physical verification tools.
- Ensure layouts meet electrical and manufacturability constraints (performance, capacitance, power, area).
- Provide clear communication and status updates to customers and internal teams.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills required or strongly preferred.
- Minimum: ~5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Practical exposure to microelectronics design and implementation.
- Understanding of how layout affects circuit attributes such as speed, capacitance, power, and area.
- Knowledge of analog layout techniques (matching, shielding, etc.).
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout tools and physical verification workflows.
- Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-service skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) specified.
