Role Summary

The Principal Solutions Engineer provides technical leadership for solutions engineering engagements, translating customer requirements into demonstrable technical solutions. The role collaborates with sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver proofs-of-concept, demos, technical proposals, and post-sales enablement.

Position is based in Burnaby, BC and listed as off-site/hybrid; supports customers and cross-functional teams in assigned regions.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead technical pre-sales engagements, customer meetings, and proofs-of-concept.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to customer needs.
• Design system-level solutions mapping customer requirements to product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmaps.
• Provide technical enablement and mentoring to sales personnel and junior engineers.
• Support partner integrations and assist in successful customer deployments.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Proven experience in solutions or pre-sales engineering for software/hardware products.
• Strong technical background in system-level software, hardware integration, or related domains.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to run POCs and convert technical evaluations into customer solutions.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with EDA, emulation, FPGA, ASIC flows, or Synopsys products.
• Prior engagement with enterprise or global accounts.
