Principal Software Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Conformal team to develop and deliver EDA verification technologies used by semiconductor customers. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and validating advanced algorithms for low-power verification, logic verification, synthesis, and related areas within a production EDA product.
Work with a cross-functional team to integrate algorithms into tools, ensure correctness, and optimize performance for large-scale designs.
Experience Level
Senior (Principal-level).
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities are development and validation of verification and synthesis algorithms and their integration into production EDA tools.
- Design, implement, and test advanced algorithms for low-power verification, logic verification, and synthesis.
- Develop and maintain high-quality C/C++ code for EDA tools.
- Integrate algorithms into product workflows and validate on real-world designs.
- Optimize implementations for performance and scalability, including multithreading and database-backed flows where applicable.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver production-ready features.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- Must-have: Proven experience in EDA product development.
- Must-have: Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of common logic synthesis and verification algorithms.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with low-power design flows and power-intent languages.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with database algorithms or multithreaded programming.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. The posting also specifies at least 1 year of EDA tools development experience.
