Principal Silicon DV Engineer

Role Summary

The Principal Silicon DV Engineer is responsible for leading verification strategies, quality assurance, and developing automated solutions for the design verification process within Microsoft's Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering team, which powers the Intelligent Cloud mission.

Experience Level

Senior level with significant experience required. Candidates should have a minimum of 3+ years (Doctorate), 6+ years (Master's), or 8+ years (Bachelor's) in technical engineering roles.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and lead verification strategies and test plans.
• Collaborate with various teams to develop and integrate design verification test content and automation solutions.
• Manage multiple development activities across product groups.
• Develop system and silicon debug tools and support silicon debug.
• Innovate verification efficiency methodologies or tools.
• Apply generative AI solutions to verification tasks.
• Develop and maintain test benches, checkers, and stimulus using System Verilog Test Bench, UVM, or C.
• Write scripts/software with languages like Python.
• Coach and mentor team members.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ to 12+ years of experience depending on educational background.
• Ability to meet security screening requirements.
