Principal Silicon Design Engineer (Design Automation)
Role Summary
Technical lead responsible for defining and driving full-chip physical integration methodology for FPGA and custom SoC programs. Lead integration of IP and macro content, power/supply collateral, and signoff corners into verified project-level integration packages.
Work across design and CAD teams and act as the cross-site technical reference for full-chip integration. Location: George Town, Penang, Malaysia.

Responsibilities
Accountable for defining, standardizing, and implementing full-chip integration and signoff methodology.
- Lead and standardize full-chip physical integration methodology across projects.
- Consolidate and manage IP/macro bill-of-materials and integration collateral, including power intent, into verified integration packages per project.
- Define multi-corner signoff methodology and automation for new IP integration.
- Drive methodology adoption across design and CAD teams and across sites.
- Act as cross-site technical point of reference for integration and signoff issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and responsibilities.
- Extensive experience in silicon physical design, integration, or signoff methodology on advanced process nodes.
- Deep knowledge of RTL-to-signoff flow: synthesis, place-and-route, and static timing analysis.
- Proven experience with IP/macro integration and bill-of-materials management.
- Practical knowledge of power intent specification and UPF usage for integration.
- Proven ability to define methodologies and drive cross-team adoption.
- Proficient scripting skills (Tcl, Python, Perl) for flow automation and tooling.
