Principal Server and AI Product Architect
Role Summary
Principal product architect on the Datacenter System Architecture and Engineering team responsible for defining server and enterprise AI/HPC GPU product and system architecture for EPYC processors and Instinct GPUs.
Work with customers, internal architects, platform teams and stakeholders to define end-to-end, constrained system solutions spanning silicon, platform hardware/software, and usage scenarios to deliver scalable, high-performance datacenter products.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership across system-level architecture, customer engagement, and cross-functional delivery.
- Define server and enterprise AI/HPC GPU product and system architecture for EPYC processors and Instinct GPUs.
- Engage with customers, processor/IP/SOC architects, network and IO device architects, and software teams to gather requirements and align on solutions.
- Architect solutions combining processors, GPUs, accelerators and network components for HPC, cloud and large-scale datacenter applications.
- Research and develop next-generation datacenter compute designs to improve performance, power balance and cost.
- Drive alignment across engineering disciplines and with external partners; communicate technical positions to engineering and leadership counterparts.
- Support product bring-up, validation and handoff to production with an end-to-end systems perspective.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and eligibility; preferred items listed separately.
- Proven track record in server and GPU product architecture and development across multiple projects from architecture through bring-up and production.
- Deep technical knowledge of memory, I/O, signal integrity, power integrity, packaging, power delivery, thermal, mechanical, power management, boot process, firmware and hardware management.
- Detailed understanding of server industry standards and high-speed I/O protocols such as DDR, PCIe and SATA.
- Experience collaborating with leading technology companies and cross-functional teams to jointly engineer products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and ability to independently drive tasks to completion.
- Experience working across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver results.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with BMC/hardware management, firmware through release workflows, and large-scale datacenter deployment considerations.
- Prior influence on product roadmaps and technology execution for datacenter/system platforms.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
