Principal Quality Development Leader, NPE
Role Summary
Lead quality methodology and operating model across NVIDIA Networking Product Engineering (NPE) for product development, design, validation, NPI, manufacturing transfer, and field-learning. Partner with R&D, reliability, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations to ensure quality is designed in from concept through production and after-release learning.

Senior β 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for defining and driving development quality practices across the product lifecycle and for aligning quality governance and metrics with NPE leadership.
- Lead quality activities from concept through NPI and manufacturing transfer.
- Define and improve development quality processes and frameworks across design, engineering, test, and V&V.
- Participate in design reviews and provide milestone-readiness guidance.
- Lead risk-management activities, including FMEA and preventive quality methods.
- Drive root-cause investigations and ensure effective CAPA implementation and closure.
- Define, monitor, and report quality KPIs to NPE leadership.
- Collaborate with R&D, reliability, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations partners.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Serve as the primary interface to Hardware and Operations Quality, driving organizational learning and governance across test assets.
Requirements
Core qualifications and skills required for this leadership role.
Must-have:
- 15+ years of experience in relevant industries and roles.
- Significant experience in hardware product development, product engineering, development quality, reliability, or related technical quality leadership.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, NPI, validation, manufacturing transfer, and field-quality feedback loops.
- Experience leading structured problem solving, root-cause investigations, CAPA, and risk-management methods such as FMEA.
- Ability to work across design, engineering, validation, operations, and manufacturing organizations.
- Experience defining quality metrics, review mechanisms, and governance processes.
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to drive alignment in a matrix organization.
Nice-to-have:
- Proven background in complex hardware systems and manufacturing-oriented engineering environments, including test boards, testers, and validation platforms.
- Experience bridging engineering and operations quality and scaling methodology across multiple teams or organizations.
- Track record of building learning systems from FA, RMA, validation, and production feedback.
Education Requirements
B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
